Resonator exhaust

A resonator dampens the sound of the engine. Without an exhaust resonator there will be a lot more noise from the engine of your car. This silencer is mounted between the catalytic converter and the exhaust backbox. However, some cars do not have a catalytic converter. If this is the case, the resonator is mounted between the front silencer and the exhaust backbox.

Failing resonator
