Each car is equipped with two pressure sensors, an intake pressure sensor and an exhaust pressure sensor.

An intake pressure sensor measures the air pressure in cars with a turbo. On the basis of this measurement, the fuel injection and the ignition moment are determined, among other things. The air pressure is not the same at every speed. In addition, the shape and position of the exhaust, intake and camshaft also affect the amount of air entering the engine.
