Regularly checking the different fluids is very important to maintain proper functioning of the car parts. Some fluids will need to be topped up more often than others. For example, it is recommended to change the engine oil every 10,000 to 15,000 km, while most types of coolant can last a car life. Nevertheless, something can unexpectedly go wrong as a result of which the fluids are no longer stored properly. For example, the coolant reservoir can leak and the car is no longer provided with the correct cooling.

Types of car fluids

Brake fluid is necessary for the car's braking system to function. This fluid ensures that the car brakes as soon as the brake pedal is pressed.

Most cars today are equipped with power steering. Power steering fluid ensures that this system runs smoothly and that steering is made easy.

Adblue is used in modern cars with diesel engines. The fluid is stored in a tank and then does its job in the exhaust. Here, Adblue ensures that emissions are reduced.
