Different kinds of gasket

There are different types of gaskets available. There are liquid gaskets, soft gaskets, carbide gasket and metal gaskets. The liquid gasket also called gasket seals consist of a thick liquid. When using a gasket seal, the liquid will harden because the volatile components evaporate. What will remain is tough material between two surfaces, which ensures a liquid and leakage-free attachment. Gasket sealants are often used in combination with a solid gasket. Here, the sealant will completely fill the imperfections.

Gasket sealants are often resistant to oils, water, antifreeze, grease, smoke and toxic gases. Often, they are also resistant to extremely high (+200 degrees) and extremely low (-40 degrees) temperatures. Before ordering, always check the specifications of the gasket sealer. Gasket sealant

The liquid gasket then creates an impermeable barrier to prevent liquid and / or gas leakage. A gasket seal consists of a thick liquid which leaves a firm substance after use.
