    LOCTITE® 401 is a fast-setting instant adhesive designed for mounting difficult-to-bond materials where uniform stress distribution and high tensile and / or tear resistance are required. The product quickly bonds all kinds of materials, including metals, plastics and elastomers. LOCTITE 401 is also suitable for bonding porous materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabrics. It is perfect for quick repairs and all types of small emergency repairs.

    Loctite is an American manufacturer of adhesives founded in 1953. The main adhesives produced are metal adhesives. In 1997 the company was taken over by Henkel, during the takeover Loctite has continued to be used as the brand name.
    Loctite started and made its name with metal adhesives. These mainly serve to lock bolts and nuts without the need for additional washers. Nowadays they are also widely used in thread sealing, gasket sealing, and cylindrical fasteners. This adhesive is an anaerobic adhesive based on methyl methacrylate.
    The metal adhesives are available in different colours: red, blue and green. Red is permanent, blue is removable, green is removable when heated slightly.
