This Carpoint BX-4M battery charger is suitable for charging 6 and 12 Volt 1.2 to 20 Ampere lead-acid batteries.
The battery charger runs through a fully automatic 5-step charging cycle: Recovery phase, deeply discharged battery can be recovered. Bulk phase, maximum charging current of 80% of the energy is charged. Absorption phase, charging to almost 100%. Analysis phase, checking the charge status. Float phase, battery fully charged and maintained at maximum charge level with low charging current. Charging current is a maximum of 1 ampere.
The CP-4M battery charger comes with two different color-coded cables. One cable is equipped with battery clamps for charging disconnected batteries, and the other has eyelet terminals (Ø6.3mm) and a 10-amp fuse for permanently connected batteries. Both cables are equipped with a quick-release connector.
Clear display with: mode button to switch between 6 and 12 Volt, control indicator lights (error message and 6 or 12 Volt mode), charging indicator lights to show which of the 5 steps in the charging cycle the battery is charging.
