    LOCTITE 510 is an anaerobic sealant that is resistant to high temperatures and cures in the absence of air and trapped between tight metal surfaces. One of the typical applications is the sealing of rigid flange surfaces on gearboxes and engine cases. It provides an immediate seal with low pressure. It increases the tightening capacity of mounted flanges.

    Loctite is an American manufacturer of adhesives founded in 1953. The main adhesives produced are metal adhesives. In 1997 the company was taken over by Henkel, during the takeover Loctite has continued to be used as the brand name.
    Loctite started and made its name with metal adhesives. These mainly serve to lock bolts and nuts without the need for additional washers. Nowadays they are also widely used in thread sealing, gasket sealing, and cylindrical fasteners. This adhesive is an anaerobic adhesive based on methyl methacrylate.
    The metal adhesives are available in different colours: red, blue and green. Red is permanent, blue is removable, green is removable when heated slightly.
