    Loctite Silicone Sealant SI 5910 100 ml

    For a low-strength, form-in-place silicone-based surface sealant formulated for use on flexible flanges with machined or cast surfaces (metal or plastic), Loctite SI 5910 is a good choice. It is suitable for gaps up to 1 mm and offers a curing volume (in 24 hours) of 2.75 mm³. Typical applications include sheet metal covers (distribution caps and oil sumps). The thixotropic properties reduce product runoff after application to the substrate, enabling reliable quality control with both automatic and manual dispensing.

    Loctite is an American manufacturer of adhesives founded in 1953. The main adhesives produced are metal adhesives. In 1997 the company was taken over by Henkel, during the takeover Loctite has continued to be used as the brand name.
    Loctite started and made its name with metal adhesives. These mainly serve to lock bolts and nuts without the need for additional washers. Nowadays they are also widely used in thread sealing, gasket sealing, and cylindrical fasteners. This adhesive is an anaerobic adhesive based on methyl methacrylate.
    The metal adhesives are available in different colours: red, blue and green. Red is permanent, blue is removable, green is removable when heated slightly.
