What threadlocker do I need?

There are different types of threadlockers that can be distinguished by color. The different colors represent the quality and strength of the product.

Red threadlocker - the red agent is the substance with the greatest strength. This product can harden within 24 hours and can only be removed by heat. It is therefore recommended to use this agent only for permanent connections and large bolts.

Blue Threadlocker - This color is usually the most commonly used and is medium strength. Placed connections with this agent can be loosened using hand tools. You can use this thread compound for all metal threadlockers.

Green Threadlocker - This high-strength agent is suitable for sealing bolts subject to heavy loads. This product can also be released by applying heat.

Apply threadlocker

Before applying the threadlocker, always check whether the expiration date is correct. The fluid can become outdated and therefore function less well. Make sure that the parts you are going to secure are clean and that you have shaken the threading agent well before use. Apply the product to the part to be locked and make sure to tighten it firmly. Then let the adhesive dry and harden. The threadlocker reaches its final strength after approximately 24 hours.
