An Active System Adapter Amp Bypass is used to directly connect factory installed speakers from an OEM sound system to an aftermarket device or to power amplifiers, bypassing the OEM amplifier.

By using this plug, retrofit installations can be installed

When connecting to an aftermarket device, the front and rear speaker outputs of the aftermarket radio are used.

Depending on the vehicle and the installed OEM sound system, several speakers such as the center speaker or subwoofer may be omitted or may need to be served by additional power amplifier channels.

Additional crossovers or multi-channel power amplifiers with corresponding adjustment options are required for fully active high-midrange sound systems installed at the factory.

Check the impedance and phase of the OEM speakers before installation.
Check operation before final assembly.
