4K UHD + 2K QHD quality with Starvis 2 sensors
Equipped with Sony's latest image sensors, in both the front and rear cameras, the ELITE 9 performs even better than the human eye in the dark.
For resolution in 4K UHD (3840×2160) @ 30FPS
Rear resolution in 2K QHD (2560×1440) @ 30FPS
5MP STARVIS 2 sensors
146° wide-angle lens – minimal distortion, maximum visibility
ELITE security 24/7
Smart event detection automatically records collisions, sudden braking, hard acceleration, sharp turns, and more, thanks to the built-in G-sensor and GPS.
The dashcam creates 1-minute event recordings of this. Each recording of an incident contains 10 seconds of footage from before the moment itself. Ideal as evidence.
Important footage is preserved thanks to “Event File Protectionâ€?. The last 50 event recordings remain protected against overwriting.
Parking mode
Motion detection: records a 1-minute recording as soon as motion is detected.
Timelapse: records continuously at 1 frame per second; 30 minutes of video footage is merged into a 1-minute recording.
In both modes, the dashcam records an event in the event of a collision.
These recordings contain a 10-second buffer before the incident by default.
To activate parking mode, a connection to the CH-3P1 is required.
Energy-saving mode
In energy saving mode, the dashcam minimizes power consumption by going into standby. In the event of an impact, it automatically wakes up, and after 1 minute of recording, it switches back to standby.
This offers several weeks of protection when the dashcam is connected directly to a car with a healthy battery, and up to several months of protection when used in combination with the BlackVue Ultra Battery (B-130A).
Ultra-low power consumption: less than 1 mA. That is hundreds of times less than the consumption of a dashcam in standard mode.
Ultra-fast startup time: less than 1 second. Recording starts immediately as soon as an impact is detected.
Generates virtually no heat: in standby, the ELITE 9 generates virtually no heat, allowing it to continue operating reliably, even in warm weather.
Razor-sharp 4K footage without using extra storage
The ELITE 9 combines 4K 12-bit recording with HEVC compression for sharp images and efficient storage.
Powerful 12-bit 4K sensor
The ELITE 9 is equipped with a professional 12-bit 4K sensor. This sensor can capture more than 68 billion colors. As a result, details and color transitions are accurately captured.
The camera carefully processes this extensive color information. Subsequently, the video is saved as an 8-bit file with a clear and sharp final result.
HEVC (H.265) video compression
The ELITE 9 uses H.265 (HEVC) video compression. This technology ensures that video files are stored efficiently, while maintaining high image quality.
As a result, the file size of a 4K recording in H.265 is approximately the same as a Full HD recording in H.264. This way, you benefit from four times the resolution without using extra space on your SD card.
